Canadian Postal Zones Explained
Canada Post divides Canada into Local (same FSA letter code or metropolitan hub), Regional (adjacent provinces or same territorial trading area), and National (cross-country) zones. Remote and Northern zones (X and Y postal prefixes) rely on air-stage cargo networks.
What Counts as a "Business Day"?
Canadian carriers operate on Monday through Friday schedules excluding statutory Canadian federal and provincial holidays (e.g. Victoria Day, Canada Day, Thanksgiving). Packages inducted after the late afternoon cutoff time (usually 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM) begin day 1 on the following business morning.
